The heartbreaking story of Deng Thiak Adut, the child soldier that became lawyer in Australia

Deng Thiak Adut is the living proof that we need to help refugees. Took away from his mother at age 6, the sudanese boy was recruited as a child soldier to fight with rebels in Ethiopia.

After being rescued by the UN, Australia took him in. He then taught himself to read and decided to learn law.

Deng Thiak Adut is now a skilled lawyer that dedicates his life to help people. Like people helped him.
